After breaking my leg in a warm up run when River fell on me in June of 2004 and not being able to walk for 8 months with Storm's futurity year coming up I rode again for the first time after my accident on January 19th 2005. With eight months off Storm hadn't forgotten a thing. I called Rock Beaupre to see if he would ride him as I still had 6 months to go before I could barrel race again. I couldn't have make a better choice to ride him. Six weeks after he went there we started travelling south to shows for the winter OBRA series. Storm didn't let us down with 3rd and 4th placings in the Futurity and Open. With no exhibition year ahead of him he continued on improving over the season and ran with some of the top OBRA horses in the 4-D and with only going to 6 OBRA shows ended up 6th and 8th overall in the standings. Storm ended up Finals Reserve Champion at the OBRA Finals! Rock I thank you for the GREAT JOB you did with my horse. Not only are you a great trainer/rider but also a good friend. Thank you! Laurie
